Converting Obsidian Golems into city defenders?

The text of the obsidian golem when you get near it say something like

"I'm waiting for someone more powerful than myself to serve..."

Just wondering if that means you can ever convert them to your side.

 

And if you can't,

what ppl think of the idea of being able to. Maybe if you build a city next to it and then build a special structure on the golem lair, or do a quest you can get the golem to guard your city

I could imagine clearing that wildlands with all the golems in it (the scrapyard?) yielding that kind of reward. Maybe it already does, i wouldn't know.

I love that idea. Not too difficult to implement for a modder either, just use a trophy to apply a town-defender.

If a player defeats an obsidian golem, it vows to serve him as defender of a city. The mod is compatible with Stormworld.  Extract it to Documents\My Games\FallenEnchantress\Mods
