Multiplayer Community

Im so sad that this game doesnt have ab igger multiplayer following. Im new and getting an online game (after ive polished a few times vs AI of course) is increasingly difficult. Everything is set to private, or i get booted because people dont know me as a reputable player (which again isnt the way to build a good community). Id love to learn the ins and outs of this game from a multiplayer standpoint, because this is and amazing game and that is where your most challeneged. Anywho, just a rant of sorts i guess. Feel free to shoot me and add or reply in here so i can do the same. I use skype, TS and all that good stuff and im looking to play some games and enjoy myself.

Most of the "friend only" or password locked games are comp stomps amongst friends....they are not true MP games, but rather people simply using ICO since it can be easier/more convenient than LAN or direct connect...

As for getting booted out of games cause you are a noob, that's likely because they were skilled games and the players wanted balanced teams....or the host could have just been an ass, hard to say without knowing the host and who they let in your place...

Not all games are "no noobs"...its just that if you have 10 skilled players online at the same time, it's too hard to pass up that opportunity....

Yeah, I haven't seen near as much of the noob kicking lately, usually you need to have at least a few to make a game. What might happen is its very important to have an even number of newish players so each team has the same number. An extra guy who doesn't know what he is doing can be a game breaker.

You might want to try just hosting a small 1v1 or 2v2 game yourself if you really can't get into the big 4v4 or 5v5s. There tends to be more people looking for a game on ICO than can host, and you are more likely to get newish players that way. Or if you get a bored pro at least you'll learn a lot and it will probably be quick. ;)

Had a 5v5 earlier today, got stomped but was very enjoyable. Just hard to find games, this game truly does not have as big a following as it deserves
