Are all applications supported ?

Trying out currently before I purchase it and so far I'm loving it !

However, I noticed that effects are not working for some applications, I can name some : uTorrent, Firefox, Miranda...

By effects I mean minimize, open, close, restore. They are working with some other applications.

I'm not sure what's in question here, so here I am asking.

Is it because I'm using the Free version right now or is WindowFX supposed to behave like that ?

Or maybe my system is doing something which it shouldn't, I'm using one custom theme if that means anything.

In windows 7 I can say that almost everything (if not all) is supported. Don't worry about uTorrent, Firefox, Chrome, Miranda.

I had just one app (Presonus audio interface, Presonus universal control panel) that was causing problems, contacted them and they fixed it together (Stardock - Presonus)

Cheers!

I'm using Windows 7 too , what do you mean don't worry about those apps ?

Are they working in your case ?

I'm worried about those apps because those are the ones that I use the most, Miranda and Firefox are the apps that I minimize/restore very often, so I would benefit from animations with those apps more than from any others apps.

Another thing is that I just need a straight answer about it before I go ahead and purchase WindowFX.

Right now I'm not sure is it just me (something else in my system causing this issue though I doubt that) or is it because of the Free version that I'm using.

Other than that I don't have any issues.

Firefox is working for me on restore from minimize. It doesn't work from max to smaller and back. I think that is normal. I do get wobble when moving Firefox.

I don't use the other two, but I do use Skype. Yahoo Messenger, and Trillian and WX5 has no effect on them. I think this is normal....probably to do with not being at desktop level, or something.

Okay, I understand now.

Thanks.

Actually, I found out what was/is the problem.

I use Sandboxie and applications mentioned above were sandboxed.

As soon as I made that those apps not run sandboxed and then re-launched them, effect were working.

So, to conclude, basically any application that runs Sandboxed WindowFX will have no effect on that app.

I had to un-install WinFX 5. Once again I'm having compatibility problems with my IcoFX software program not working properly with some Stardock products. I've mentioned this on numerous occasions but I'm not going to make a big deal out of it. The problem I'm having this time is when I try to import an image or close a palette window nothing happens until I click around on some emty spaces and finally it reacts. I put up with it for awhile but ,eventually the annoyance becomes too intense ,so I just decided I'd rather live without WinFX. I'm also still having those same issues with some WindowBlinds not working with IcoFX, specifically, not being able to drag image borders on the work palett, so I'm restricted to about 4 WB's that I can actually use, despite the fact that I have dozens installed. I know it's just me and my little IcoFX software, but I use this software on everything that I skin because it is so easy and versatile , so I guess I'll just have to do without some of those awsome Stardock Apps. if I want to continue skinning.

Assuming the issue is the animations you could just have excluded IcoFX from animations in WindowFX.

Indeed, nice example how Sandboxie is really doing its job very good :)

Also, I'm glad that this 'issue' has nothing to do with WindowFX , great job guys !

Yes, I did think of that and I did make the proper adjustments to exclude from animations, but regrettably, that did not resolve the issue. Apparently, IcoFX is a pesky little problem for Stardock Apps.
