Noob signing in!

Hi folks, Worf here. Based upon reviews I bought Trinity. Just getting my feet wet. Reading and learning as much as I can BEFORE getting my butt waxed online or off. Not a total Noob though, I played "Dune 2" back in the day AND "Homeworld". Hope to be around a while..

Awesome. Trinity may not be that busy online anymore, most of the pros have moved on to Rebellion. Feel free to ask any and all questions.

Welcome, new padawan. I am Ibnpatuta.

P.S. Dune! I've played Emperor: Battle for Dune and found it a very fast and brutal strategy game. It was completely different from Sins, but still fun. Is Dune 2 like Emperor?

Ah guess not. Thanks for the love folks.  I've been busy spending HOURS trying to get my mind around this VAST universe that is SoaSE.  Additctive and challenging. Last time I felt like this I was trying to learn how to fly using both hands and feet in "IL Sturmovik" and this game makes that one look like a walk in the park mentally if not physically.  I really appreciate the offers for help, unfortunately I have to learn enough of the basics so that I can ask questions!!!! I do appreciate the warm welcome.

"Dune 2" is considered by many to be the FIRST "real time strategy" game ever made.  While that may or may not be true it was the first time I can remember when you had to harvest, build, research, explore, defend and conquer while the A.I. was doing the same thing at the exact same time.  You could play as other "houses" (races) and each had their own special weapons.  The game you mentioned was/is a sequel to "Dune 2".
