Acoustic Bridge question

Can you send to all 4 simultaneously?

The Acoustic Bridge page says that you can install Acoustic Bridge on up to 4 PCs for one price. That's nice.

But does that mean that you can send audio to four PCs simultaneously? Or does it only send to one at a time?

Thanks!!

Any (and all) three PCs can send audio to one other.

I played around with this last night and this morning with a laptop and a PC connected to a home theater system, and it worked excellently. You will be getting my 10 bucks shortly! The only glitch I ran into was that Web surfing on the laptop while sending audio caused occasional stutter in the audio. But simply increasing the buffer settings in AB resolved that.

Now to the point of my original question: I guess I was unclear. AB is able to nicely send audio from one sending PC to another receiving PC without any issue "one-to-one" (ie: any one sender to any one receiver.) My question is, can one sending PC "broadcast" to multiple receiving PCs at the same time providing music, say, throughout the house on multiple PCs?

I speculate that in this version, the answer is a definite "No" but at this point, that's OK, because this simple product completely resolves some issues I have had with our home theater setup. I can now simply and conveniently use my laptop to select and play music through my home theater--something that was not as simple prior to this program..

AB suppports many-to-one but not one-to-many at this time.

I'm glad you like it, I think it's a great app.

You can, though, at least have music playing on the source as well.  There's an option to allow unmuting on the source computer, so you can at least have it playing in two different rooms.

Very nice. This is one of those tiny programs that costs almost nothing, yet can be so amazingly useful!

I don't see any way to disable the automatic muting. How do I do that?

I want to send audio from the source computer to another computer, and continue playing audio on the source as well. Is this possible?

End of jesseschoff's quote
Right-click on the systray icon and select the option to allow it to be unmuted.

There is going to be some lag if you play on both PCs . . be aware.

Upon right-clicking, I have three options:

  • Purchase Acoustic Bridge
  • Configure Acoustic Bridge
  • Unload Acoustic Bridge

Do I need to purchase it before this option is available?
