Starbases auxiliary government should come with a broadcast centre

I am in a bit of a pickle at the minute in a single player game. There are multiple stars in the map and every start I jump to has insane culture. As I am going along I am finding it impossible to colonise anything because the culture is just so strong.

All of my capital ships have been sitting on this asteroid for 10mins on x8 speed and the culture isn't shifting at all. I really need to get a broadcast centre up so I can start combating it, but I can't without a colony! If the auxiliary government upgrade for starbases had a broadcast centre with it or something so I can get some way to repel the culture more effectively, it would solve this problem.

How about you visit the next-jump planet and kill that planet as well? just keep a few ships behind to make sure they don't re-colonize it.

Or stick your capitals on the planet for a minute and just repel the culture.

Clarification: Provided you actually have your own culture presence, this shouldn't be an issue.

Find the source of the culture and destroy it.

Culture nodes is already an available upgrade for Advent star bases. If you make it baseline to all starbases, cooked into aux gov then Advent will need something in compensation.

Don't worry about colonizing them right away.  It looks like you're TEC so just throw up some starbases with trade ports and ship factory upgrades and go on a rampage.

But like I said, and like Pat_22_ said, just find the source(For me it is usually a desert planet next to it)

Actually

Culture repel goes down a lot when in neutral gravwells.

and it vanishes altogether when in hostile gravwells.

Ironically, to repel the culture the most effectively, you'll need to colonize the planet!

Or get an advent starbase up with culture shit ;)
