Remove Surrender from the game.

When player chose to surrender (instead of just quiting) the AI doesn't take over for them.  Surrender sucks in multiplayer and doesn't have any effect in single player.

Please remove it from the game.

I think all your ships and structures should explode on surrender. That would be epic!

The planet cores should explode, damaging all ships within 10 phase jumps of those planets and destroying all phase lanes connecting those planets to all other planets up to 10 phase jumps away.

End of LordNosfer's quote

What is there to disagree with?

In single player, if you quit, the game ends.  If you surrender, the game ends.  No difference.  There's nothing to disagree with on this point.

Perhaps you disagree that it sucks in multiplayer.  If your the player who quits or surrenders, either way, the game is over for you.  It's a different matter for your team mates though.  Most likely your team mates would like having an AI take over for you.

Would you rather have your quitting allies replace by an AI or just sit there and do nothing the whole game?

From an MP perspective, I like the surrender button because if some jerk decides to stay, I don't have to worry about a surrendered player.  Pressing the quit button means I still have to kill all those planets to get the victory.
