Control of units outside of AI

Battles would be more insteresting if control of individual units could be placed in the hands of the player instead of the computer.

You want to control the enemy units?

The units are in the hands of the players unless you use Auto-combat which I never recomend no matter what game you play.

Combat zones should have the land from the zone the combat occurs in, along with the attributes of that land.

A forest gives ranged protection.

A hill gives melee protection.

City walls grant defence bonus.

Outposts grant ranged units a farther attack.

A road allows additonal movement along that stretch.

Perhaps there is a small lake, and you have units that can swim.

Perhaps you can cast a 'wall', between two mountains, forcing your opponents into a bottleneck.

Stuff like that...

NO!
End of pearlfarr's quote

No what?

Maybe he meant that he wishes there were dozens of units on the battlefield instead of a handful that look like multiple soldiers.
