[.915] Allies invading my personal space!

okay.. non-agression pact people.. allies is just easier to type.

I just started playing the FE beta a couple days ago.. I was invited in late april but was too busy playing TOR at the time.

Anyway, a little while ago I witnessed a Kingdom I had a non agression pact with waltz into the zone of control of my capital city, plop down an outpost, then start building on a juicy earth shard that was one tile outside of my borders. Can they *do* that!? I had plans for that shard! I hope this is a bug and not a feature!

Has anyone else had this happen?

I've never had them build inside my ZOC, but I don't Non-aggression people too often either, so it may be something with that specific pact. Still, they will try to get that shard (by building outposts right outside your ZOC) because they think it as unclaimed. No worries though, once your city grows, the city's ZOC will overpower their outpost ZOC, and you'll have it under your control anyways. Basically, they are just borrowing that earth shard (and building it for you) until that happens. If you really want it fast, you should build your own outpost and reclaim it (you can build outposts nearby to push their ZOC until the shard becomes yours again). You can actually do that with all of their outposts BTW... it's cheap, but very effective.

Applenty with me being the worst offender of the AI's personal space (usually play an enchanter custom civ so i don't need to even walk over pioneers. Just pay 30 Mana and poof arcane monolith. Wait till AI Preciponee learns to use that spell...). If the player can do it the AI can do it to (no they cant build in your ZOC but a single non ZOC-tile is enough and an outpost sometimes "grabs land")

Yea the AI does not really care for any "treaties" you might have put up :) They will try and extend theyre borders all over, cannot say it will not be changed, but it looks like a "Feature" right now...

Look at it like economic warfare.
