The trial version of WindowBlinds is time-limited. If you wish to continue using the WindowBlinds program you will need to purchase it.

Be sure to uninstall the trial before installing the purchased version.

Stramp -

You could try the ODNT Zapper program - https://www.stardock.com/files/odnt_zapper.exe

Be sure to back up your installed skins first.

ODNT Zapper Description:

Utility program that can be used to unload or remove Object Desktop components (like if an install.log file is missing). Warning: this will delete any installed skins/themes for the component when used to uninstall that component.

Stramp... you could try CCleaner, too. The zapper works well with W7x32. CCleaner should also clean up the registry... after the uninstall, switch to the registry tools, scan and (make sure you make the registry backup) zap. It's a good tool to have on board, anyway.

Success! Thank you Hankers & DOC! The programs didn't help at first but along with them I had to go into the Task Manager and end all the processes associated with windowblinds that were still active in AVG. As those file that couldn't be deleted being they were still in use elsewhere keeping the ccleaner from totally removing the Windowblinds Freeware version from being removed. I then restored the OS to an earlier time, reran Zapper & ccleaner, Advanced windows care for the registry, double checking to see that nothing was left File folder or files.  Then I crossed my fingers. And well it works. I didn't know about zapper & forgot about ccleaner, I used to have it, but it was too dangerous for my kids to be around! LOL  Kidz like pushin buttons before reading da fine print!!! Well I  won't be installing anymore progs without first making sure to check & see if it must be unloade first  next time! I just got excited to get all those goodies! Be seeing you around!

One other thing which would be good to know, Do we have a list of what programs from Stardock need to be maually uninstalled prior to installing either a newer version or license activated version. I know sometimes we get stuff and it will unistall the previous but then that's not the case with WB?

Stramp, it's more complex... people still have stuff installed through Impulse which have to be uninstalled through it before sdc will recognize the software and update it.

So... if you have Impulse stuff on your machine, AND an active sub, then uninstall through Impulse.

If your sub is NOT active, then leave it alone until you renew your sub. Then uninstall through Impulse and install through sdc. Make sure to reboot after un-install and re-install.
