Advent Rebels -ships conversion-

I appreciate that Advent Revels can "convert" ships without apparent reason, I know that Advent Loyalist Titan and  TEC capital ship Korsev can do this, but Advent Rebels... Is this a bug or there are any explanation?

Its due to one of their techs. And you don't convert, you clone them and you have them for a limited amount of time.

Indeed, when they destroy your ships, they have a 10% chance to ressurect them, or clone them, for a limited amount of time.
