Ok so why is sin not advertised enough?

I dont get it...

I myself  heard of this game not too long ago and just now started playing it and I love it. Its really fun, really easy and doesnt give you a painful headache after every match. Also I love how matches take a while to finish as that just gives me plenty to do. So why is it that this fabulous game has not been advertised enough? Can anyone clear this out for me and if theres anything a devoted fan like me could do to help...

Advertisement is paid for by a company trying to spread their games and Stardock/Ironclad are not the richest company. Also, if you haven't been paying much attention to what the vast majority of gamers are into currently it is not really geared toward games that have learning cliffs. Sins seems more of a cult game because of its unique game style rather then mainstream.

Most people come to this game hearing of its publicity(reputation and not paid for). "Game of the Year" and game reviews.

That and it was advertised heavily when it came out in 2008.

Why advertise when it's on steam?  I mean, that is the point of distributing it on a download client like steam...

A myth!  A conspiracy!

I think it's compared primarily to Playstation and Xbox games that he's thinking...even if he doesn't realize it.

These are games with multi-million dollar budgets, mega-corporation branding and promotion--Ironclad and Stardock are really  independents with nowhere near the capital of the multibillion dollar big boys.

So you aren't seeing a three month network television/national radio/box store retail ad campaigns--that's where a lot of big game development money usually goes.

There will be a bigger advertising push when the time comes.

I only looked into Sins because I kept seeing it in Walmart/Best Buy/Target and thinking "Huh, what a strange looking game". Eventually I decided to read some reviews on it and to my surprise instead of it being some cheesy space opera it got all of these best strategy game awards. Eventually got around to buying it and it became the game I sank the most hours into.

OH?

Now I'm curious how it will be advertised, and if there is any sweet collector items...
