[091] Research

The research view with the line connectors implies that you can research along these lines, but actually you need to research everthing out of one level before you can research something out of the next. Will this be corrected so that I can research for example Ereog's Journals before channeling ?  WoM was supporting such things, I think this would be a relevant step back.

Really? I don“t think so. For example. I researched knowledge (tier 1) and then mining (tier 2) without civic (tier 1) .

This is true for some techs but not others I believe - i.e. before you research mounted warfare I think you need to research animal husbandry.

Thank you ;-)  I really overlooked that Ereog's Journal actually should require Education, so for a minute I thought this is not a bug.

[learned more, see further posts please]

I am playing Gilden, and the game automatically selected Channeling as something to be finished before Ereog's Journal when clicking on Ereog's Journal.

In contrast to my expectation I can now study  Ereog's Journal although I have not completed Education, but I did complete Channeling.

Hmm if there is cross tech requirements, i REALLY have not noticed - must look closer doh!

Unlike my first impression, it works to a degree, to research Ereog's Journal I actually am automatically forced to research Eduction.

Nonetheless, I am still entirely confused about the subjects being highlighted and then studied (like pressing Ereog's Journal leading to the study of channeling first, although Eduction does not have channeling as a prerequisite.)

Sry, right now I am not sure which part would be the buggy part, but for me it is not intuitive and not really clear.
