[1280x720]+[internally fixed]+[autosave frequency]

hello

i like the game

i'd like to be able to use 1280x720 though for 3d, don't even care if 3d is officialy supported or not, can turn off the UI and see prettiness still, but only if you can select 1280x720 as a resolution, it's not in the list.  cool? :)  also community would be able to apply their own shader overrides to make the ui look correct in 3d if they wanted to, i don't know how.

also curious when we will be able to have the 'internally fixed' items listed in the known issues & bugs list?

i also think it'd be nice to have an option for autosave frequency, or to just have it more frequent, as the crashed are also frequent.

have good day :)

for seriously?  no one thinks it'd be epic as hell to zoom into a bomber/fighter to watch an epic battle in 3d?  anyways how hard could it be to just add that resolution to the list? :(

sad face no one likes any of my ideas, i should go throw away my dork card

It would require redesigning UI elements, as the game is built for a minimum 768px height. But then 720p TVs are (mostly) natively 1366x768 anyway.

Also, I believe most people play on computers that don't even support 3D...

nice, i just tried 768 and u are right, that's is pretty fuqn lame...  those extra 48 pixels must be really good, would've assumed they'd just automatically resize the ui elements

and it's not about the tv, it's about the resolution supported by nvidia and the hdmi 3d standard.

it's a shame to throw away 3d space battles to get an extra 48 pixels in height :(

any computer that can play a game can play 3d, as all the depth information is there already, it just has to render it from two perspectives instead of one so it takes 2x processing, since there are two eyes.

ok so you can go set the resolution manually by editing

[windows partition]:/users/[user]/documents/my games/ironclad games/sins of a solar empire rebellion/setting/rebellion.user.setting   (win7)

VideoFullScreenWidth 1280
VideoFullScreenHeight 720

aside from the 2d elements not having any depth and a couple hiccups with the mouse pointer, 3d works perfectly well, and looks pretty nice :)  especially if you turn off the UI and turn on cinematic mode.
