Passive Stars

They've disabled passive regeneration at stars

I noticed that the stars in Rebellion have an added effect: they disable passive regeneration on everything there. I personally really don't like this, because the star is often the best point of defense in a system. I think that the effect should be modified to allow slower regeneration instead of no regeneration at all. I get sick of seeing my starbases at the star with 0% shields all the time.

Each color star has a different secondary passive ability. So that will only happen roughly 25% of the time.

for stars that have that i always post a dunov or a advent colony capital ship by it and set it to not attack anything.

Alternatively I do two star bases with fleet resupply as loyalists around those blue ones. Still a bad investment with 0 regen, but has the benefit of destabilization or an annoyance while moving the fleet back to defend.

Yeah, it makes it unfeasable to build starbases at the stars. Unless two nearby starbases can fix each other with docking booms? They can't fix themselves with them.

Yeah double docking booms should work. Star antimatter regeneration bonus also ensures they don't have to worry about antimatter.
