[GamePlay] Rebel Bombers too strong?

I had a level 8 Loyalist Titan with all the defensive goodies it could muster - near indestructible, even to the Rebel Titan.  I took this Titan and 11 Capital ships along with 30 flank frigates and got my ass handed to me quick and fast by 100 Rebel Bombers.  Wiped out my Titan in about two minutes.

Any swarm of bombers is a threat to pretty much anything but a fighter regardless of race or faction. A 100 bomber squadrons will wipe anything out very quickly regardless. Flak frigates are ineffective against bombers only fighters. The only good counters in the TEC arsenal against mass bomber swarms would be getting a whole load of fighters or the Kol's Flak Burst.

It has been this way even in diplomacy.

Wow, that is one tough Titan. Usually ships don't last more than a few seconds with that many bombers.

Crazy, couldn't retreat fast enough before I was wiped out.  The game was pretty much over anyway as we were playing a capture the planet victory condition, but I couldn't believe the power of those bombers.  Stardock described the Titan as being only rivaled by another Titan, or a massive fleet and a Starbase or something, not a bunch of little bombers.  You'd think they would just be like little nats that are barely able to penetrate.  It's like Star Wars and you got this little x-wing that blows up the entire thing. haha

About 100 bees can sting kill a person. Plus 100 bombers requires a big fleet. Fifty light carriers at 14 supply points. Seven hundred supply points total. About a third of a fully researched fleet.

Well, if they were TEC Bombers it's not just 100 bees, it's 500 bees with rocket launchers designed to punch through very heavy armour.

This is really how it should be. Large ships should be susceptible to strike fighters/bombers. A game this is really a great quality in is Battlestar Galactica online. The biggest ships are super susceptible to fighters/bombers and fighters are susceptible to other fighters and mid sized ships. 100 fighters banned together in that game are pretty much unstoppable too.
