Work area reduction stuck even when DX is unloaded...

On some DX themes I used, I had work area filling the whole screen since I had the taskbar hidden. Now DX is unloaded but my windows still maximize to full screen, covering up the taskbar. Is there a registry setting I can reset to restore the maximize size for windows? How do I have my windows maximize only down to the taskbar height? It makes it quite a pain in the wee since I can't see which windows I have open or which tray icons might be flashing when I have a window maximized.
Any and all help will be appreciated...

Right click the taskbar, select Properties. Check the "Keep the taskbar on top of other windows" entry. Click OK.

OMG, I'm so stupid. Did not think of that... I thought somehow the max window size setting was messed up the whole time. Everyone needs the obvious pointed to them sometimes.
