[.85] [Feedback] AI demands more gildar then you have on hand

I'm not sure if this is a bug or is intended, but in a current game I have, the AI demanded more money than I had on hand. I could accept and give it to him, which sent me into the negative.

I think this is a bug, but if it's not, this makes no sense. I can't really fork over money I don't have unless I am to assume that my faction has advanced banking securities and whatnot. Especially since the player can't ask for more money from the AI, so I cant then extort my enemies, since you could potentially force them to go negative, setting them back and preventing them from building more units.

I was surprised to see that!  I had to sell a bunch of midnight stones QUICK!

Even better, once you go negative, you can go negative all you want. I was able to go to the shop and buy everything I wanted for all my champions. There seems to be no downside to negative money other than that you cannot build new armies until you are out of the hole.

I'd say being unable to build new armies could be a serious downside ... but the ability to buy CHAMPION GEAR on a deficit is ridiculous xD

Unless treasury figures are publicly available, why should the AI know how much money you have? I'm not sure if there's a debt system in the game, but I don't see why you shouldn't be able to go into it.

So is the only penalty for running out of money ... not being able to build new units?

I think it should increase unrest in some way.

End of Tasunke's quote

Agreed. And perhaps lead to a full-flung rebellion if people's trust in their government is too hampered. We could also add in interest rates and decreased growth/economic investment...

I think if the AI asks for more than you have, then if you accept the game would say "You don't have enough gildar, so you are unable to pay off this player" or some such, and the AI would treat you as if you said no.
