Object desktop scrambles icons.

Whenever I use object desktop, it scrambles all my desktop icons. I cannot drag them to the edge of my desktop,( to original positions) they will spring either halfway off the screen, or too far towards the centre. Windows XP Home, 512 mem, athlon 2800, 128 graphics card.
Anyone had this prob before?

are you using iconx? ifso, you probably need to adjust the horizontal and vertical marginns between the icons

sometimes, desktop x themes also define a smaller windowspace (i.e., themes that consist of a panel on the side will decrease actual "usable" window size so that that panel is visible at all time), and in this case, you will not be able to drop icons into areas that have been specified as taken up by dx.
