Files gone after using IconPackager HELP

Hey.
Alright so I installed IconPackager and was about to check it out. I first tried out some of the iconthemes that was already in the program, this made some of the icons to change, while some was the same. Annoyed already...
Anyway, I got myself the "Token" Icons, so I tried them out instead. NOW for some reason I had Token, Windows and the other iconpack I tried out earlier, all at the same time. I tried to go back to the default icons by using "Default Windows icons" or whatever it's called but some of the icons didn't swap back.
Now for the tricky part. I went into settings to see if there was anything in there I could use. Naive as I get when shit happens I try to check a couple of things in there to see if it gets back to normal. With nothing changed I uncheck what I checked.

Thing is.... Now I got a couple of maps and files gone. For example my entire "My Pictures" map was gone with ALOT of pictures in it from years back. But also My Videos and other maps and files. I checked the recycle bin which was empty, and no results when searching for em. So I try to system restore to 6 days back. Now I got my Videos and Pictures maps back but only a few movies are in them, all the rest are still gone. So I try to systemrestore a couple of times back and forth with no results.
I've looked all over the internet for help but I get nothing. IF you've experienced this and fixed it, please help me out.

IconPackager should not be capable of deleting files like that from your HD.

I would check your drive for errors in case you have a file system corruption issue going on.  Before doing that I would also suggest backing up important files onto another drive, DVD or USB memory stick just in case there is corruption as fixing it can sometimes mean you lose access to files you could access before.

Well how does an "file system corruption issue" appear? and why would this happen right when I'm using IconPackager when I've had no problems before? I mean all this happened during a 10 minute period when I first used IconPackager.

It could be due to a hard drive failing, maybe bad memory caused the wrong data to be written in the right place, there are numerous reasons for file corruption.  It's possible IconPackager was accessing a part of the hard drive that was bad, which caused things to start degrading, or it was a coincidence.  It's very hard to tell how something happened, but my guess is it's hardware related, most likely your hard drive.

Is it the Trial? or have purchased the Full Version?

What is the build number ? (IconPackager About tab)

What OS are you using? windows xp, vista or 7? 32 or 64 bit?
