Wincustomize Browser Default Browser problem

I seem to be having a slight problem with the WinC Browser. I have it set to have any links open in my default browser. When I click on any links they open up in IE. The problem is that IE is not my default browser - Firefox is. Has anyone else run into this? Have I just managed to mangle a selection somewhere? I am using the latest version of WinC browser from Stardock Central.

Thanks!

Hum, I think it may be a wording problem. I think the option should say "open any links in a new IE window".  Because the WC Browser uses IE as a back end, I'm not sure you can send a link from IE to be opened in another browser...

That's definitely a possibility. I'm at home now and checking the settings and the two settings are:
Use Wincustomize Web browser for internet links
Use default Windows Web browser for internet links

This, of course, is under the 'Web Browser' section of the General Tab in settings.

Yeah that kinda bites it having IE as the browser opened up to view links. I personally don't care for IE and it would be nice it there was an option to not use it for anything. I use firefox and would much rather have that open up instead.

I have the same problem, RobbieRobb. I figured that there was a glitch somewhere - because using a default browser option doesn't work - when using SC, all links open using IE.

What I've been doing more often is to use a desktop icon link which takes me straight to WinCustomize, rather than using Stardock Central. When using the link, everything opens in my default browser and not IE.

I'm no programmer, but I don't understand why all links can't be opened with "my" default browser, because some are. If I click the History link in the Object Desktop section of SDC, the link is opened in Opera. If I click the download link for Natural Desktop in the Misc sction, again, it is opened in Opera. I believe the same is true when I click the "What's New" link when SDC has an update. So why all links can't be opened with our default browsers is a mystery to me. But like I say, I'm no programmer, so there could very well be a good reason for this behavior.
