Heavy Equipment WB problem

from WinCustomize Forums
It seems that there's a problem with Heavy Equipment skin with the "menubackgrounds"...
I can't get them the right way and i think the menuborder.bmp is missing in the zip file and / or something's wrong in the .uis file...

Can anyone take a look at taht point ?

Chad did the WB skin for that suite. I'll let him know there's a problem.

I just re-downloaded it and re-installed it and it seems to be working fine. can you take a screenshot of it and put it on the web somewhere and post a link to it here?

i've posted on stardock's windowblinds binaries newsgroup some screenshots i've succeeded to take...

i've no problems with other skins with that feature, so i don't understand what's going on (

I autoload that one with my Heavy Equipment LiteSTEP theme with no problems....

Are you using wb3. With previous releases I was having similar problems with other skins. If so go onto object desktop and get the latest release that should hopefully clear it up for you.

no, i'm still with WB 2.21b, i've tried WB3rc1, but i get troubles in other ways with that version (under Win 98 SE)

so if someone else had similar problems what is the real solution ? a trouble in the uis files? a trouble with WB ? a trouble wth tis skin ? a trouble with graphic card drivers ? a trouble with my mother in law ? what else ?

I'm getting boared of those "never solved" issues, and specially because i'm french and i can't understand easilly all is said it's very disapointing ((

the Heavy Equipment WB skin still get the same troubles for me with any of the WB3 beta or RC new progs ... won't anyone from Stardock or other can tell me what to do ??

i've posted on stardock windowblind binaries a few days ago some screenshots to show what's going on with the Menu BackGrounds, with PhilIP as name...

The Heavy Equipment WB skin [and the rest of the suite] predated WB3, beta, or otherwise.
I haven't played with WB3 as such yet, and I still haven't got XP up and running, but it's a safe-bet that the HE WB won't skin all that WB3 would let it skin.
HE WB works just fine in WB2.2 build 923, running under LiteSTEP 0.24.6 20010102 dev build....

so Jafo, can you take a look why i can't get correct menubackgrounds (running Win 98 SE+ WB 2.21b or any WBversion indeed) all the other skins with menubackgrounds features are displayed correctly except that one ?
in general there's a menuborder.bmp in the skin folder and a line :
menuborders=skin\menuborder.bmp
in the uis file
but here i've no menuborder.bmp
and the line is menuborders=0

terrible because HE is one of my favorites

the menuborders are not a mandatory feature in a WB skin. All menus that would use the borders are also skinned with the menubackground image. so the menuborders not being there is not a problem.

Are you having a problem with all menus, or certain ones?
