Impulse Users shafted?

I did not receive my email yesterday, nor is FE on my download page, more over the Stardock page lists me as having purchased Elemental in Early December, which im fairly sure is when the Gamestop takeover took place. Fortunately at least this Elemental Page recognizes i preordered and tells me I quality to get FE for free.

 

So I contacted support, and did some investigation and apparently you had to preorder from the Stardock store to qualify for beta or so im told. How is any of this MY fault? In 2010 when i preordered stardock did own Impulse, so why do I get screwed here? Blaming the customer for selling part of your company is bad form.  Impulse users shouldn't be left out in the cold.

That date in december is the last version update. Check your order history not the downloads page for your order date. You're probably in the same boat as me as in next week you'll get access. (Impulse was the stardock store at the time)

The beta openings are staggered depending on a number of things.  If you were an early pre-order the emails have been sent, and the next round possibly next week.

Also, if you spent the last two years inanely fantasizing about this game, you get an earlier e-mail. But it comes with two diseases...  8O

I pre-ordered through Impulse, and I have Fallen Enchantress.  I downloaded it through the Stardock website as per the instructions in the email.  I haven't fired up Impulse in a long time.

Wait it out, it'll come.

My preorder was through Impulse and I got the Beta. You must have just been a later order. Either that or you were overlooked. In that case I recommend contacting Support. I'm sure Frogboy can hook you up.

That is funny, i am one of the early pre-orders and i never received an email, and the game has not shown up in impulse. But i was able to get the game through the earlier journal

Must be nice. I got the email but the game downloads aren't showing up >.< Supports looking at it but it's been 2 days. I feel like an addict with a fix just barely out of reach.

I did contact support, thats why I made this post. Support told me you had to preorder from the Stardock store to qualify. Though i did explain i preordered on Impulse. Yay for uninformed Support Personnel?

Me too! I enter this forum almost every single day since the Elemental launch...  for two days ( i bought 08/26/2010) i have to wait one more week and read a lot of people talking about the game. Tha pain!

Just to clarify for a few people. The beta will not be available via impulse. It will only be available through the  stardock store. However users who preordered from impulse will have access to it.. they just have to log on to to the stardock store using their account info they used on impulse.

You couldn't preorder on the Stardock.com Store because it didn't exist until long after WoM was released.


Edit: Impulse no longer exists, it's now just called GameStop.

I got no email, but the download link was in the stardock store when I logged in. Have you checked?

I received the email, but the link wasn't in the store.  Support fixed it in 1 day.
