Crash after MSG

Hi there.

 

So i'm runnin GCII Ultimate on win 7/64 with amd quad core 8gigs ram and amd ati 6700 rade pro!

So the game is runnin niice on full throttles ... BUT ... ther'S a little upset making thing ...

 

u play time apart .. then the really nice message incomes ... with nice little vid " The dark lords arrive and retake the galaxy!" the game crashes after the until next TURN !!!

SO what the hack is the damn problem???

 

AND YES ... my machine is up to date! (drivers )i also play BF3 ony ultra.

 

i want an answer for this problem!!!

The Dread Lords mega event is bugged - on occasion, they will show up with a nonexistent ship orbiting their planet (instead of a scout like they're supposed to) which triggers a CTD when interacted with in any way, including when the Dread Lords take their first turn. It's been reported for a while, but no fix so far.

Your best move would be to go back to a save from before the event and try things again - it's random, so they most likely will not show up on a second go-through and it might not cause a crash if they do.

  Are you playing TA?  I've never had a problem in DA (Metaverse games) with this Dread Lords megaevent bug which I have seen discussed in other threads.

It's limited to TA as far as I know. My understanding is that they tried to beef up the event a little for the expansion (and succeeded - the DL are much quicker to build up when the event doesn't crash), but created this bug in the process.
