WinCustomize Personal Pages

Has the capability to create a personal page gone away and/or no longer supported?  There used to be a link available so that you could go to a Personal Pages Index, is that still available or also no longer supported?

If this is the case is there any consideration or chance of these returning sometime in the future?

Some very interesting thoughts here, I'm glad that some of you took the time to reply and have keep the thread on the polite side.

Here is a question that will probably turn the apple basket sour.

If Stardock promotes community members base upon establish standards but no place like personal pages are available where do the common folks see what rank an individual is?  Other then Mods and Stardock folks you don't see anything in the Avatars used in the forums.  If folks are promoted to Master Apprentice, Journeyman and Master Skinner how do I see that and then show the proper respect to these folks.

There is a reason for asking as I have started to put that type of information in the Theme Manager Suite Descriptions.

:S

Well, Philly, putting a member's rank under their avatar, like the mods have their titles, wouldn't be a bad idea.

How about it WC?

http://users.wincustomize.com/username seems to work for me, even with relatively new members.

There you can see the users level/rank/whatever.

No, not a bad idea. Put it on the 'to-do' list and it could/might be added when time's for it, but don't hold your breath.....

That only works for folks that actually have had  a personal page in the past. There really does need to be some sort of link for all contributors that show all of their works and not just a few. :meow: #:(

I asked for that 'author' column to be dropped in favour of the 'skin icon' several times in the redevelopment of this page, thread.....fell on deaf ears... it's annoying to have several different skins with the same name and not be able to tell at a glance which one it is...eg wall/boot/logon.... and the 'author' column is useless...

the original design was fine..efficient..... it is such a disappointment now..... I just don't think to use it anymore.... going backwards in these areas is depressing....  :-|

we were told that would be introduced in the forums looong ago...never happened... I remember we used to have it in the gallery.... had a multiple choice of your level and below...and Lady...and Skinner...and I think Mister etc...

I don't think that should be dependent upon access level, Philly.

If you want access level displayed (and not go through what Jim did - i.e. changing 'nick'), you can put it on your avatar with an image editor.... That would probably prevent totally unexpected "side effects" like wiping your account out.

You will probably have to go to 100x100 avatar size, though.
