Hello!

 

 

I installed IconPackager 5.0 Trial Shareware on my Win7 Sp1.

Played with some icons packages. It's all right! No tricks, everything works smooth.

 

First issue:

Only one thing which makes me nervous is that I can't see nowhere an option to restore default Win7 icons.

Yes, I can see Win7 Default Icons Package in "Look & Feel>Icon Packages" Menu but I want to know if there is an option to cancel changes made by IconPackager and restore default/previous icons? Other words, is there an option to restore system default icons without installing Window 7 Package from Iconpackager? And don't say about Win Restore Point, I mean completely other thing.

What does this option "Repair Shell Icons" in Setting Menu make? Does it restore the default Win 7 or previous icon package or what?

 

Second issue:

If I won't buy IconPackager after trial period - what should I do before uninstalling IconPackager? Should I restore Win7 icons [using Win7 icon package from IconPackager]  and then only I can  uninstall IconPackager or I can leave a customized Icon Package on my Win7 system and uninstall IconPackage without doing any hurm to my system?

I tried this!

Control Panel, Bin Icon, My computer icons on desktop and in Explorer Window, my private folder icons, Desktop icon in Explorer Window didn't change to default after  applying "Window Default Icon" package....

I manually tried to restore to default desktop icons: My comp, Bin and it works.

But how about other icons on desktop [Control Panel] and icons in Explorer window [My Comp, Desktop, Libraries]?

Help please....

WOW!

 

I moved the custom icon package into C/Users/Public/Documents/StarDock/IconPackager.

Applied it.

Then applied Win7 Default Package.

 

Now it seems to be all ok!

 

Also I marked option in Folders Options "Always show icons, never miniatures" and reboot my system. Then unmarked. Just in case [cause my comp icon in Explorer Window was shown not default but from the custom package].
