Tbh,i'm not sure,i havnt played the game in a while, but, what is the checksum?is it on the mods page of the game?
End of Deathra's quote

When you enable a mod right below the show mod path button it displays a number called a checksum for all the mods you have enabled. Zero means there is no difference between your enabled mods and vanilla GameInfo and mesh folders, which for most mods means the game can't find your modded files, most likely due to you getting your folder structure screwed up somewhere.

I wonder where myfist0 has gotten off to... haven't seen him of late.

Edit: Ah HA! I found him :P

And it was in the right folder, though, now that i think about it,i might of used newer version files for an older version game...MIGHT..

That would have caused a crash, your changes appearing not to have been in game probably means the game for whatever reason could not find them and thus just loaded the normal files.

So was your checksum zero? Do you have any extra folders? It should be your mod folder, powerful advent, then GameInfo. Also you were only editing copies of existing files and not adding new ones correct?

No,no and yes.Oddly enough,i converted the files to bin and the mod started working, dont see why that would matter,or would it? Oh well, its working now...

I have run into a bit of a problem, the Advent Radience for some reason unknown started banking right for the left to fire, and i cant change it back to firing forward as i dont know what controls that, help?

EDIT: Forgot to add that i was modding it to fire more and have more health and damage and changed its bombing thing to the laser bombing the Vasari have.

What exactly do you mean?  Are you saying that the radiance does "broadside" firing like the akkan, sova, or prog (where the ship's side faces it's primary target instead of the bow?)....the game automatically has capital ships use whichever side  has the most firepower for focus firing on the primary target...if the Radiance's left side is what faces it's target, then your mod made that side have the most firepower....

Oh,ok.i'm not quite understanding why since it was firing forwards before with the same damage, maybe its becuase i made the projectiles "gatling" like by making delay's between shots and prebuff cooldown almost the same so its a contant stream of bullets

Either way,i can most likely fix it now that i know the prblem, thanks

What is important is DPS, or damage per second....

DPS is the damage per attack divided by the pre-buff cooldown...both increasing the damage per attack and reducing the cooldown will increase your DPS...

It is DPS that determines which side will be have the most firepower...

Is there a better resource than the link that "Add Planets" points to?  It wasn't very informative...
