Windowblinds 7 will not register in Impulse

Hello. I purchased Windowblinds 7 Quite some time ago. I downloaded it via the email sent to me and activated it in the little popup that comes up when you run it for the first time. It ran and worked, except when I changed any skin, it would reskin the startbar to Windows Classic, indefinitely. I was bothered by it for awhile and tried default skins and downloaded with the same result. I figured I'd give updating a go to see if it was fixed via an update. So needless to say the update link took me to impulse, and I made an account and downloaded it, etc. When I went to update Windowblinds, it said it wasn't registered and must be registered. I entered my serial number, as well as the email used to register both accounts, and selected desktop > Windowblinds 7 and hit Register. I am currently being stopped at every step (No firewall, I uninstalled my AV, ran as an administrator and tried compatibility modes..)  by the error message "The serial number you have entered is not recognized by Impulse. Only serial numbers provided by Stardock will be accepted.

Please check your selected product, email address, and serial number, and try again. (Ref: 2)" I have checked all of these, and verified the serial via the retrieval function on Stardock support. I made a trouble ticket quite some time ago in an attempt to get this sorted out, as I love the program and would enjoy a change from Windows 7's classic... Design. The ticket number is SWN-984297.

I will actively monitor this and greatly appreciate any and all suggestions.

sounds like it wasn't installed correctly from the get go.

But there's an additional problem:  You should have used the same Stardock.net account you created when you purchased WB 7. Ypou see, your registration is linked to that email.

If you have it, you can merge the accounts:  https://www.stardock.com/support/registrations/

Source Account: The email you originally bought Windowblinds from. Destination: The account you'll use from now on.

When posting about problems with Windowblinds, it's customary to post the info in the "About Windowblinds" tab of the Widowblinds config window (the one you use to change skins, color, transparencies and apply textures).

Please do that now, and start a ticket with support@stardock.com .

It's the weekend so don't expect more than an "auto reply". Don't answer it. Read what it says. Your request for help will be kicked to the end of the queue if you do email before getting an answer from a person. Put the url of this post in your request for help.

I appreciate your rapid response. I've uninstalled Windowblinds 7 at the moment and cannot provide the info, though it said activated and installed correctly on this computer, just not via Impulse.. I'd also like to clarify that when I said the email I used, I meant that it was the same email used for both accounts. I've had a ticket open for quite some time. (SWN-984297)

Well, those were the easy fixes. Looks like you'll have to write to support@stardock again and quote the other ticket number and this thread's url.

When you say "same problem", what do you mean?

Did you have the trial edition of WindowBlinds installed first? Did you uninstall it and reboot?

Do you have a similar problem with registrations? Did you fix it?

From the "About WindowBlinds" tab in the WindowBlinds Config window, copy and paste your info, please.
