That's ok and all but why don't you just post your shots here?

I suppose to encourage traffic at creativx, Chasbo.

I encourage Quaz1957 to participate here as well.  :)

My welcome is extended to all the skinners at your site as well, Quaz!

Chasbo & Dr.JBHL - "thank you both for your generous and forthcoming comments - firstly, how do i expedite screenshots in a thread here @ wincustomize ?? - pls feel free to advise appropriately and according - secondly, the showcase @ creativx is to promote "windowblinds" to members worldwide - it's really about education in windows customization and or we may also think in terms as a cultural exchange program too as it relates to Wincustomize and Creativx - creativx does well enough on it's own merits and doesn't need my assistance pertaining to site traffic - they have thousands of users worldwide that visit daily - i hope this additional information clarifies and is more helpful to you - maybe i am the bridge or conduit between windowblinds and msstyles windows customization @ Wincustomize and Creativx - i alway's appreciate generous and appropriate assistance when available and when provided - many thank's !!"

ps: Dr.JBHL - "you are a true gentleman - i'm not the ceo-founder of creativx.net - but, i will copy/paste your "designer's invitation" and send it to "TheBull" and also, copy/paste your "invititation" to my "windowblinds" thread."

Dunno where you got that info, but neither Doc nor Bebi are part of the Wincustomize moderator team any more. ;)

The WinC Wiki is waaaaaay out of date.

Look here, for more current info: Wincustomize About

Hankers, Lantec, Snowman (me) and WOM are mainly in charge of moderating. It's a dirty and sometimes little revarding, but we enjoy.
Well, at least I do (for the most). Otherwise I wouldn't have stuck around for 7½ years as a mod. ;)

Come to think of it....
The moderators listed on the Wiki page, are the Wiki moderators - not Wincustomize moderators. =)

Snowman - "many thank's fellow member - this is very helpful information and also good for all members to know - if these informational facts are current and correct - then, i will edit my "windowblinds showcase 2011" exposition summary - pls confirm, and i appreciate your contributions to the proper facts - thank's !!"

re: WinCustomize Access Classes

  • Moderator

Compuserve has "Wizops", we decided to call our moderators Wizops too. Wizops can do what Masters can do plus add/delete news items, moderate skins, and moderate forums. One can only become a Moderator by a 3/4ths majority vote by [of] the Admins.

  • Administrator

Admins are the administrators: Frogboy, Island Dog, Jafo, Karmagirl, T-Man, and Yarlen. Any of them have the ability to promote a user up to a Journeyman. Only a majority approval can promote someone to a Master and only 3/4ths to a Wizop. Island Dog and Jafo will run WinCustomize on a day to day basis. The others will provide additional help and resources. You want something changed or done, Island Dog and Jafo are the ones to talk to. They have the ability to make many changes as long as it doesn't violate the Covenant.

Quaz1957, you've discovered that the Wiki isn't fully updated.

When you ask:

End of Quaz1957's quote

Do you mean a Forum thread such as "June Desktop Screenshots", or do you mean "Screenshots Gallery"?

In looking at your link, I don't find a real parallel here. That's because our folks tend to post them one at a time and identify and link the various features of each screenie. This is because we have a contest going for the best screenie each month winning a WinCustomize subscription. Your link showed a few screenies for each skin (good taste, btw). Slightly different approach... but I believe the Gallery might be the better choice for you.

I'd hasten to mention that msstyles causes problems with our Download and Update platform "Impulse".... so there's no msstyles gallery here, nor is there likely to be.

I'm happy to hear you'll quote me at creativx :)

We love skinners, and all are welcome.

Also, I'm Doc/doc, but not DoctorNick... sorry if this is confusing.

Also: As for our access levels: Zoomba wrote the sticky post here: https://forums.wincustomize.com/312082 . This is the one that's most updated and relevant.

Dr.JBHL - "many thank's my friend - i'm not sure what "Chasbo" was referring to when he commented - i would have no difficulty in providing single screenshots and is not an issue for me and yes, based on your information, i would agree "screenshots gallery" would be appropriate - FYI, i wouldn't be uploading "msstyles" to w.c. screenshots gallery - this is very helpful information to know - i can't thank you enough for your generousity and expertise - your alway's most kind and i greatly appreciate any assistance that is appropriate - i will review this information and navigate to these two areas and give it few moments to digest - thank you doctor, your alway's a pleasure to communicate with !!"

ps: "is there a button in the toolbar menu that provides for uploading images ?? pls advise, thank's."

The best information I could provide would be a Post by Island Dog:  https://forums.wincustomize.com/390524

Comes with Screen Shots and easy instructions. :)

The button to upload an image in a forum thread is the one with the tree on it in the reply area toolbar.

For youtube videos, get the vid url and enter it (copy/paste) in the "YouTube" button in the reply box bar near the A and the ab.
