It's happened to me before, but I can't remember which OS it was. I have 32-bit XP, and 64-bit Vista and 7. As I recall, it will magically reappear if you connect to it. Give it a try.

Yup.

Does it exhibit this behavior if Windowblinds is off, DX Off, etc..?

I use it on Win7 x64 as master and have never had this happen. I don't use Windowblinds or DX on that system either.

Windowblinds and DesktopX are never off. But for the purpose of answering you, yes, it still does it.

There is a rare issue where the icon itself becomes blank which I think is what you are seeing here.

It shouldn't cause you any harm other than a blank spot where it should be.

And that is irritating and should be fixed. Is it being looked at?

So, I guess it isn't important enough to fix?

I don't think it is causing any major issues and on most machines the icon ends up being hidden 99% of the time anyway so it is unlikely we will be putting out a patch to sort that right now.  The issue has been there since MP 1.0 and it is very rare hence the very low number of reports of it.  I am not 100% sure it isn't caused by an interaction between it and SDMCP.

If it irritates you then a quick unload and reload of Multipl.exe would sort it.
