Windowblinds XP vs Windowblinds 2.2 and +

Was just wondering, will all future versions of Windowblinds XP and the regular Windowblinds both continue to be developped with the same features?
I heard some talk about the upcoming Windowblinds 3. Will it have new features that will not be present in Windowblinds XP? Or will it be the other way around, will Windowblinds XP have features that Windowblinds normal will never have.

OK, my bottom line is this. I am insane to the point of actually choosing which OS I want according to which will be better supported by Stardock. I know I know, I'm sick, but anyway....

I'd be hoping XP and non-XP versions would be developed equally....at least for a reasonable lenght of time. Blimey, some people are still using Win95...

WB3 is supposed to incorporate the stuff from WB XP for all versions of Windows, so there will no longer be two separate versions.

Still, I wouldn't be surprised if there are XP only features, such as Start menu skinning.

WindowBlinds 2.x and WindowBlinds XP will be merged into WindowBlinds XP.

All will use the architecture of WindowBlinds XP. So in WIn98/ME/2000 we basically will be providing the WIndows XP theming engine.

So there will be only one WindowBlinds:

WindowBlinds 3

Ah, so they won't diverge and become incompatible. This is a Goog Thing [tm]...

Exactly. WindowBlinds 3 will be Windows XP. We're simply going to provide the XP visual styles stuff on Win98/ME so that we can have a single code base. Totally different architecture.

WB 2 is a memory hog compared to WB 3.
