Help with Impluse

I can't seem to get it work now that I downloaded Elemental. I was running Sins-Trin., after some problems with that, fine. I bought Elemental, Impulse crashed. Then finally got it to download and when I tried to install it Impulse crash repeatedly. Now it won't even open as soon as I click I get the error message that Impulse has encountered an error and will need to close. I hate to ask for a refund but I'm not seeing any real solution in the forums but I am seeing a lot of people getting the same errors. I've updated .Net and removed and reinstalled Impluse a bunch of times and I still get the same problem which has now increased since the first problem. Any help would be nice.

Just to clear things up, Impulse was working at one time, correct?

If so then I guess it's possible that Impulse has gotten messed up.  When you uninstall Impulse did you run a clean up program like CCleaner, reboot and then reinstall?

If that doesn't work, open Impulse, click on the Icon in the upper left hand corner and select Impulse Setting and click of Reset Data.  It will cause to close Impulse and reopen it.  Well, you won't be able to do that if Impulse won't open, sorry.

Okay this is just the community helping one another here on the forums.  Sometimes problems are solved here.

I'm sure there is a solution for this problem and the best way to get help from Stardock Support with the solution is by sending them an email: support@stardock.com

Do not send multiple emails as this will cause your trouble ticket to go back to the end of the queue.  Just wait for a response and follow their advice and I'm sure they'll get it working for you.

In the mean time, have you looked at the support page?  It is found here: Link.

OK I finally got it to start and then I did what you said. Same problem but it is only with trying to install Elemental: War of Magic. Thats when it says the error message. So now at least I'm a little closer, trying to stay positive here since I've been doing this most of the day.

And yes I have sent a email to support. I just want to play games from a company that is only about 15 miles from me. Makes me feel like I'm supporting the State of Michigan..LOL!

You live that close to them!!!!!  :O

Well that is better, that will tell support where to look for the problem.

Yep I've driven by them before since I've still  Sins loaded and I previously played Galtic:Dread. I was in the area...well you get the picture. I needed a little break from Eve:online but now it looks like I'll be going back to my "previous program".

I think I figured out what happened.

Gamestop took over Impulse today- but they're only handling the gaming side.  The non-gaming stuff has disappeared from Impulse.  Looking up Stardock Corporation nothing was there.

This problem should solve itself soon, but I'd email support to see if they know anything.  I'm pretty sure that's the cause though.

End of Alstein's quote

To see not gaming stuff you have to click "explore" at the top of the web store front.

Problem solved. I didn't realize that Impulse and Stardock were Bill Gates B*****'s. Since I had refused to use IE Impulse would not work. I've since installed it and now it's working fine.
