How to recover install after Win7 upgrade

So I have been playing Gal Civ2 for a while (with both expansions).  Recently I upgraded my system to Win7 but neglected to do the easy transfer program that MS offers.  So the long and the short of it is I have the game and expansions installed, but Windows doesn't recognize this fact.

Is there any way to force the recognition or get Windows to see the install?  I could re-install, but I only have the disk for the Base game.  the other two were downloads.

BTW, my tech knowledge is moderate, so if there is a simple solution, that is great.  if it is significantly indepth and requiring of modifying script files, I would be better to simply re-install.

In the menu there's a detect application option--just use that and locate the games, and Impulse should be able to rebuild the registry entries and list them as installed. Though if you do need to redownload the expansions, you're free to do that too.

Thanks for the response.  I was able to open up Impulse and download the patches that I was behind on and that updated the registry.
