Firefox 4 and WB

Hi.

I wait until the final release of Firefox 4 to see this. The issue is: The menu is overlapping the titlebar (when activated) or the tabs are doing the same. If I use the Standard Microsoft skin this doesn't happens.  Here some images:

I am using WB last version. Verified just a moment ago with impulse.

The way around that mess is to turn on your menu bar and turn off the tabs on top option. Right click the toolbar to get the menu with those options.

Doing this also makes the dropdown menus look better on my last skin. Leaving it set up the default way, the Firefox tab has light text on a light background, changing it makes the menus look how I made them. I'm pretty sure that will apply for quite a few dark skins.

Thanks for your comment but this is hardly a real recommendation.

Maybe I have turn down WB at all isn't?.

There are other posts mentioning FF4 and WB work together. This is not my case now, maybe is on my side maybe is just WB not adjusting some things to display this correctly, maybe is FF.

I don't think changing options is a solution, just a temporary thing.

I just change to another skin and is working fine. One with more room at the titlebar.

I was using corporate and precision skins and now with cideral skin is ok.

Do what you want. It was just a suggestion to make it look better and still function properly.

I am using FF4 and WB7 and do not have this issue at all, with tabs on top or bottom.  Everything is fine.  I am on Windows XP SP3 though right now.  Sounds like the skin you were using is the problem.

i believe most problems would be eliminated if you totally removed the old FF 3.6.15 completely, when uninstalling it will ask you if you want to keep your personal setting say NO remove them. However before doing this Make and store a copy of all your bookmarks in a different location I.E. like a on a flash drive.  You can then download FF4 and install this of course means you will have to again install all the extensions, plugins, and themes/persona again and tweak to like you had your previous 3.6.15 FF

I had problems with FF4 when I updated over the old FF and I did the above and no longer have any problems., with FF 4

It looks like you are running some sort of custom firefox theme there which is overlapping the titlebar area.

If you reset it back to the default theme I imagine all will be well.

Unfortunately FireFox4 has a number of quirks relating to space at the top of the window and the amount allocated will vary from skin to skin.  This is something that is outside of our control.

BTW your OS skin frames look like they are Windows Aero with WB too.  Did you enable the option in WB to always use Aero frames?

Try disabling "Use hardware acceleration when available" option under Tools>Options>Advance>General.  There may be an incompatibility between your ATi display driver and the DirectX/2D/3D calls made to it from Firefox. When this option is enabled (it's enabled by default), Firefox attempts to utilize your graphics hardware to accelerate both content and compositing, including CSS styles modified by non-default themes.

I just did it.  Unistalled ff 3.6.xx and also 4.0. Result, the same but I narrowed down a bit. See below...

Nothing happened.

No, I am using personas and this is apparently, the issue. With the default theme and no personas everything is fine, but as soon I apply any personas skin to FF the "problem" is there.

I had "corporate skin" and use the Vista-ize me option.  Is there a problem with this?
