RIP Elizabeth Taylor.  A very talented actress whose personal life seemed to be regularly in the news, at least for much of the later part of her life.  Sorry to see the news that she passed away today of heart failure.

She is (or was) as old as my mother - but this one seems a little too close to home age wise for me.  Perhaps it was her unending quest for youth that made me always think of her as a contemporary instead of an elder.

She was one of the great superstars of her day. A wonderful actress, a caring person, and one of the few that was drop dead gorgeous in her youth even without makeup.
