Not so Super Superweapons

So, let's review the Superweapons.  With the nerfing of the Kostura, they're really not so super anymore, leaving TEC as the only faction that has a useful one.  Instead of nerfing the Kostura, would it have been better to buff the Advent's Deliverance Engine?  The Kostura and Novalith (pre-nerf) might have been a little overpowered, but isn't that the entire point of an expensive superweapon?

Is there any reason to build Kosturas or Deliverance Engines now if cost is an issue?

I think super weapons are one the of the things that is difficult to balance for both single-player and multilayer.

As long as they aren't OP for multilayer this is something I'm okay with if its balanced for single player.

As much as we multilayer players want everything balanced for us the fact is that the majority of the player-base are single-player players.

Eh, pre-buff Novalith was really in the same league as the Deliverence Engine.  Currently, I find it to be in the same league as the post-nerf Kostura, and the only issue is the DE is a little weak.

You certainly won't spam Kosturas anymore, and on its own it won't be a game-ender, but a handful of kostura gives you exceptional offensive advnatage, opening up any planet to invasion and shutting down defenses on the spot.

kosturas are still fun fun fun.  weaker? hell yes.  still a game ender? preety much.  but basicly, the lack of prereqs for kosturas is made up for the fact that you need something else in addition to the kostura to make it the win button.

 

but even without, it still can make a nice trade chain cutter.
