2011 awful prediction!!!

2011 awful prediction!!!

It was summer of 2010. I was watching a romanian TV show about the end of the world in 2012 (yeah i know ) and the host mentioned something about an old woman named Baba Vanga who predicted many things that happened after she died like the fall of the communism and the fall of the world trade center towers. This woman said that a new Messiah was born in 2005, that he is romanian and that romanians are the chosen people o_O . That made me laugh so hard but being romanian myself i had to search for this on web and see what are they talking about. So I happen to see Baba Vanga's predictions for the future 300-400 years. At first I didn't paid any attention, it was like reading some silly SF book but with all that happened in the last week [Japan (northern hemisphere)  nuclear threat and France that wants to interfere in Libian war- that may couse a war between the muslims and europeans] I sudenly remembered what she said about the 2011 year:" As a result of the fallout of nuclear fallout in the northern hemisphere will not be any animals or vegetation. Then Muslims will wage war against chemical surviving Europeans." I don't believe in these kind of predictions but i also don't believe in coincidences. This sound a little bit to weird to me :X :\

i think the end of the world is coming soon...... too many natural disasters, wars, countries are broke, famines are everywhere, the human race is

out of control, ect.
End of Vampothika's quote

I'm pretty sure those who were adults of 70 years ago would have said the same thing (great depression and WW2).  Not those who were children then, because they didn't have anything to contrast it to, so those times would have been normal.  You always contrast things with the times when you were most impressionable.

We have seen a lot of natural disasters, but are there really MORE, or is it just that our perception of it is more because we have better information technology now.  A tsunami and earth quake hits Japan and we know about it immediately in our own homes because of the internet.  It took quite a bit longer than that for "the world" to know about the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in 79 AD.

These things have a way of balancing themselves out -- the pendulum swings one way, it reaches it's apex, and then it swings back.  The truly comfortable times are in the middle, but in order for those times to be truly appreciated, there have to be periods of extreme.

I just wish those periods of extremes didn't involve people. We've lost too damn many as it is.

I predict that someone will post after me.

I knew it - Starkers is a friggin' time-traveler :omg:

Of course he is. Didn't you know that his first name is Methusala, his last is Lazarus and somewhere in between is the dreaded ... Master Blaster of Fartdom. :w00t: :w00t:

Sadly, I can only go forward about 10 - 12 hours.

If I could go back.... well I'd change that losing lottery ticket to something better.

Hmmmm, that 30 mil would be rather nice about now, me thinks.

Too late, I've had scientists genetically engineer cabbage to grow already currified. :w00t:

Slightly OT. Whatever became of Curried Cabbage WB. Not that I'm complaining. Its just that for awhile it was going good. Tons of fun seeing where it would go.

Now for my prediction of the day. Its gonna rain. Probably 'cause when I look out the window it already is.

We'd have to ask Po` about that.  Funny thing you mention it, I had forgotten all about it for ages, but I was thinking the same thing last night, as in what had happened to it.

Now for my awful prediction of 2011!  While other crops become short in supply for various reasons, cabbage will yield bumper crops throughout the world and curried cabbage will become the staple diet of the human race.

:w00t:  }:)

Well we could always supply him a gas mask.

However, I think the reason ET is unlikely to visit planet Earth is because mankind has become so aggressive and violent in its ill-conceived idea of modern civilization.  ET's may have visited ancient civilizations such as the Egyptians and Mayans, etc, but we'd have to improve a 1000% on what we've become before they'd come back again.

I mean, just take a look at all the sci-fi movies/shows that represent aliens as invaders, about 99.999% of them, and how we Earthlings open up all guns a blazing to defeat them.  Yeah, I'm sure that benevolent and friendly ET"S want to come here after tuning into our TV stations, etc.  It is quite likely that ET has the technology and power to wipe us from the face of the planet, and probably has for centuries.  The fact that we're still here suggests to me that ET is not a warmonger and has not interest or intention of invading Earth or acts of aggression.
