Since updating to 1.19c the game will no longer work at all

Hoping they fix this.

Basically since updating to the 1.19c beta patch the game won't even launch. 

All it gives me is a pop up saying "Failed to Download Data file" please ensure you are connected to the internet, logged in to impulse and that the game isn't blocked by any anti virus or firewall etc..

the game just closes to desktop on launch after showing me the title screen and that popup message noted above it doesnt get the the usual menus etc...

I have tried while being Logged in, connected, and the game definitely isn't blocked by either my AV or firewall..and nothing but the same message noted above.

As if the OOM crashes weren't bad enough when it did work, now I REALLY have a £40 paperweight.

Has any resolution for this been done or being worked on?

"I use the following and it does not log me in and I can use my own data.zip build to test in 1.19b.

Shortcut target input: "C:\Program Files\Stardock Games\Elemental\Elemental.exe" /LOCALDATAONLY /FASTLOAD"

...and then hit escape when the error pops up.

As you suggest I've used the variant of this shortcut suggestion altered for my installation location and it does indeed start the game, the rror doesn't pop up at all.  so thanks for this.

It doesn't fix the problem though so hopefully whatever they did with the 1.19c patch that borked it they will undo with another patch shortly..hopefully.

I had the same error message and apparently it was due to me having 2 Impulse accounts and being logged into the "wrong" one. Some time ago I had asked that the accounts be merged but I guess they both still exist.

 

Once I logged into the "right" account on Impulse I no longer saw the message.
