HI! Im in need of some help. I want to know how to change the way the names of my icons are...right now there is a black box that is around the name of the icon...and its really annoying, i was wondering how to get the names of the icons to have no background. I have a picture here if you dont know what im talking about...

There are several program that let you do that. Windowblinds has an option for that. Otherwise, there is a registry hack you can do, but playing in the registry is not recommended unless you really know what you're doing.

thanks for responding:)

ive fixed things before in my registry...ive played around a lil bit with it...how would i go about changing this without using winblinds?

I can't find the registry entry you need to change, but you can download and install this tiny utility (4k) called Disappear ftp://ftp.creativelement.com/pub/win95ann/disappr.zip

hell dragon, i got the program u linked me too...it works great! I had first tho tried the one you listed there paxx but it gave me an error message sayin i need a file which wasnt located in that zip... thanks though

Oh, you need vb40032.dll; I assumed you had it... Sorry. Well if you still want to try it you can get the vb400 library here ftp://ftp.creativelement.com/pub/win95ann/vb4rt.zip (380k)
