More virus news...

Just dropped in to warn you all of a virus doing the rounds. I had an email the other day with the subject "Help", the message appeared to be blank, but the html contained the "happytime" virus. (Yeah - I know I shouldn't have html emails automatically display). I noticed a lot of other skinners in the recipient list, so be on the lookout, this virus makes sircam look like a pussy cat. For more info, google "happytime".

I've been hit twice already by that one. It's been decided that a certain idiot who visits us just to check his e-mail is no longer allowed to use the computer...*s*

hehe, i can never figure out *why* people would want to open up attachments just for the fun of it and even run some .exe, .bat, .vba, .lnk, .pif, .com, or whatever! sheesh...

go figure. :?

I'll never understand why people still open the attachments either.

It drives me nuts about CodeRed as well. With all of the media hype it's getting, you would think these sysadmins and people running IIS would download the patch! No such luck. I'm up over 200 CodeRed scans/hr now on each system. Maybe if Microsoft put it up on the Windows Update site it might get more downloads...that would make too much sense though.

Oh well...bring on the next one.
