HELP!!Mac crossover for pc games Boot Camp or Parallel ??

ok so ive had elemental from back in September... at the time only had to play it was my wife's crappy low spec hp notebook.  ( i could only play elemental in cloth map). on top of this dam notebook wouldnt run half the games i have anyways due to it being so basic.

so OK... i kept hearing mac is very stable and how great it is. (PC's have always given me head aches with updates and errors and etc).

i bought a IMAC this weekend runs like a dream. interface is different from windows but so far so good I'm getting around pretty well. specs are as follows

3.2 ghz intel corei3

8GB (2gb) 1333mhz DDR3 SDRAM

ATI radeon HD 5670 with 512 mb

OK so now such a noob i am i see that PC games don't really work for the MAC. only thing right now that works is civ5 and wow that i can install. any case i tried this cross over code weavers program trail version and it still don't make the games work. i called the apple store today and they told me i can go two different ways on this... boot camp or parallel.  i would REALLY like some informative suggestion on which of these would be the way to go and which i can actually play elemental on. i read another post on how brad has both a MAC and a PC. I NEEDyour help brad whats the way to go program wise so i can run elemental on the mac OS. if anyone else can give me some good advise on this i would really appreciate it. i felt so bad this weekend when i discovered i couldn't run any of my games. i thought id finally play EWOM and see more of the game that i coulnt see before graphic wise and all went to hell. brad and community i need your help!!!!

thanks all

Well, honestly, I'm not a MAC fan. How much did you spend on that iMAC versus the netbook? Spend the money, and you'll get a good machine. Anyways, MACs don't have many games made for them. You can try to run Boot Camp (basically you'd be installing windows on the mac, and setup a dual boot situation...boot into windows for games, boot into MAC OS for anything else). I'm not sure what they mean by parallel. I'm guessing maybe a virtual machine? Check out virtual box. It basically simulates a computer within your OS, so you can run other OS's without having to dual boot. This won't run as well, but it's the less invasive approach.

yea from what the rep told me you can basically switch between windows and mac without having to reboot your system. my only question is which of the two would be the best approach in reguards to game stability and performance and whether or not the game would even let alone run on them. i wonder if anyone on here has boot camp or parallel which could shed some light on the matter. the mac interface i have to say is different than pc so there is a new learning curve ( its more icons and pictures) but the software update is a one button snap. id get so frustrated updating drivers for all sorts of different things on the pc i would lose myself.

any case im curious if any devs would suggest either boot camp or parallel. it would be real nice to be able to play elemental asap heh. =(

As they told you here https://forums.elementalgame.com/396271/get;2874235 Mac OS is not supported. You'll have to turn to fellow mac users to try to find a solution, don't expect a solution from Stardock on this.
