What do you guys suggest

OK, another question about programs. I read somewhere that some antivirus programs play havoc with skin programs. Has anyone had this problem, and what antivirus programs do you suggest.

The next question is, how do you like sysmeter2?

For the antivirus program, I have personaly no problem at all. I use Norton Antivirus 2001 with default protection settings (Bloodhound, etc.) with the Auto-Protect activated (real-time virus protection). Worth a look if you had problems with other products.

Yes I agree with FlipNET, personally I have never had any problems with Nortons Antivirus programs and found them to be a lot more solid and definetly detect a lot more little annoying virus's then some of the others on the market. Just take a few minutes to read the manual to configure it to suit your needs.

Ditto on the AV stuff - it's never interfered with skinning that I'm aware of. I used to use Sysmeter2 religiously, but it looks like the authors have dropped development of it and it's no longer available on their web site. Such a shame since it was a great product. There are a bunch of good skins out there for it, and it's easy to make your own. It also had the to-die-for capability to hook into the Performance Data Counter in NT/W2k (XP I suppose took since it's built on NT technologies). This means that you could display text and graphs about anything available from perfmon!

If you are in LiteSTEP, there's no need for sysmeter to monitor resources...there's label.dll instead...

Thanks everyone, I got Norton's Antivirus 2001 installed.
I'm using NextStart now, and it's working greate, I've also downloaded LSD4P 1.3 Beta, LiteStep for people, I'm going to be giving it a test drive soon.
Thanks for the information.
