Lost skins after upgrading to WindowBlinds 7

Hello,

Iv been having allot of problems trying to get impulse to work but was finally able to download my WindowBlinds 7 update to my desk computer. How ever all my skins are missing (other than some default ones) even after rebooting and clicking ''Rebuild List''. I can find them on my computer, is there some way to get them back in?

Thanks!  O:)

Just copy them to the Themes folder of Windowblinds. Then choose "Rebuild List".  :)

Thanks! I must of done it wrong though because it didn't work.  :(

I found the files in...

Program Files - Stardock - Object Desktop - Windowblinds

I copied them too...

Program Files - Stardock - Object Desktop - Theme Manager - Themes

because it was the only file named ''Themes'' I could find around there.... Should I have deleted them from the other folder? I'm not sure I have the right folder.

You could just use WindowBlinds to reinstall them. Open WindowBlinds, click on "Skin Options", then "Install New", browse to where they are, and click on the skins, and click "Open".

Copy your skins to the blue folder (in my screen shot). Hope this helps. :)

willistuder: Thanks, I tried but the files just appeared empty even though they are not....

DrJBHL: That's ok, Thanks. I can't find that though....I don't have any folder called Users in my C:   8C

Every Windows 7 has "Users" in it's file tree. Look more carefully. Use my screenshot as an example.

Oh I'm Sorry. Thanks for the help, I didn't explain well. I don't have Windows 7 I have Windows XP. I had an older version of WindowBlinds and was not able to get any minor updates. Some skins I tried to use made for Windows XP were not always having all features.  I was told it was recommended to upgrade to the latest version of WindowBlinds, the update/upgrade was called WindowBlinds 7 (which I had to purchase). So I did, after some trouble I was able to upgrade to WindowBlinds 7 on my desktop computer (not my laptop though) how ever all my skins are not in WindowBlinds 7.

My suggestion is to pm WebGizmos (has XP also) and ask him where his WB skins are and tell him the problem and include a link to this thread.

He'll give you good instructions where to copy your skins files to. Remember, W7 skins (or those w/o an XP substyle) will not look correct on XP.

try putting the skins folders in

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Stardock\WindowBlinds

Why not just double-click the skins (one by one) & WindowBlinds should do the rest?

Bichur's answer sounds right, if memory serves.

Hey, Bichur! Long time! Hope all's well. ;)

Yes, Bichur's answer is right (on XP), the folders are there. If the WBA files are available, then just double-click each & Windowblids will re-build the folders.

Yes, Bichur it worked! Yay! I couldn't find the ones where you click and they install themselves (WBA I think)....plus I had over 200.

Thanks everyone for helping me!  :D
