font colours only apply to the section you are doing, if an image has text available there will be a text tab for you to click on.

that shows you the text colour and text font. you can also make up your own text colour and font by pressing the button beside drop down

arrow on both text colour and text font.

When in doubt, do both.

Just kidding. What they meant was "Take a well done skin apart in SKS in order to see how the parts/sizes and fonts were done. When you submit, submit only your original stuff that you made using SKS after practicing."

Hope that makes sense.

yes, they are right in that advice, when i first started, i would disect every skin I could that was designed they way I liked or had animations i liked ect.... i would look at the codex, the settings, everything, until i worked out how they did what they did. but asking helps too! and this is what the forums are for, its no biggie to ask for help, everyone here is pretty good at trying to help others. and windowblinds is one of the biggest

challenges around for skinning, so dont beat yrself up if you dont get it right first go.

Using another skin as a template is also another awsome way to go, you get a feel for the size of things, and how many states they have ect.

I wish you all the best, your enthusiasm is very refreshing.!
