FPS Problems

I would rather not play on Clot Map mode if I do not have to. My PCs specs are more than the recommended spec and I still get really crappy frame rate issues even on the lowest settings with all un-necessary  turned off. Any tips, because I hate having to play on clot map mode....

I dont know how the game should be on your laptop excactly, but I know one thing. These Vista machines (and other Windows version to a certain extent) tend to fill up with crap that loads every time you start your laptop. So I reccomend a round with CCleaner to remove stuff on startup and clean your registry. I have done this on 5 computers last 14 days. Friends and colleagues who all have had their comp slow to a crawl. Other things to consider is antivirus. Set your Elemental folder to be excluded from live scanning and set your antivirus to not scan itself live while you play. And there is also defrag if you dont have SSD disk (which I am pretty sure you dont have). Good luck

Vista with 1gb of RAM probably has FPS issues too lol Virtual memory only helps so much. I'd put more ram in that thing before doing anything with it to be honest.

Surely the lowest recommended specs are for cloth map only.

It runs fine on cloth map, but its just so bland that I don't get any enjoyment out of it. I defrag once a week at night, I think I am going to get the registry cleaner. I am hoping for a new laptop soon anyways... soo....
