1.1 Manual download of patch PLEASE!

Hi, im getting absolutely mad over here, trying to install the 1.1 patch. Have a slow internet connection and cannot download the "patch" of 1.9GB for the nth time. Please, is there a manual download of the patch somewhere? Pretty please? Sugarcoating?

Increadibly irritating having to use impulse or steam to do trivial stuff such as installing a patch...

Shift right click on Elemental in impulse, then verify installation. It will take some time to calculate, but it won't be 1.9GB either.

If you have access to a faster connection you can use that to download a patch using http://anywhere.impulsedriven.com/  (you need an impulse account and to have purchased the game) then copy the patch and use it on your computer (that has impulse installed).

At least, that's how I understand it -- I haven't tried it to verify.

EDIT  I checked and you can only download the full game, not just a patch.

Please Stardock. Please. Manual downloads for patches. We with slower/more expensive connections cannot afford another 2GB download for a patch.  :'(

This is a current known issue they are in the middle of tracking down and fixing.. go to the thread listed above for steps to help resolve it.

The patch is only a few MB.

a temporary fix for this problem has been found, here are the steps to get around it:

So now we know what the problem is and how to fix it, however, we are still working to figure out why its actually happening.  In the future, once we find what is causing it, hopefully this will no longer be an issue...  For the time being though at least there is a (relatively painless) fix.

Thanks for your patience
