Oh and I have another question. I have a clock (DXDigitalClock plugin), and I want to open the date/time Widows window when I double-click on it, like the regular clock. Anybody knows what the class number of it is?

I have kinda solved my clock issue with a link to a sortcut (.lnk file) to the time/date display...
But that's not the best solution...

So, nobody?

I'm assuming that you mean the date/time properties window, which is available from the control panel (at least on my machine, Windows 2000). If so, there's probably a better way (but since I'm lazy...) but you can simply run "timedate.cpl"

The extension should be registered and the file should be in your %SystemRoot% directory (which is in your path), so it should work without a hitch.

skinning the right click menu is not an option just yet, but the idea has been bounced around alot.

Thanks guys! I knew I could could on you!
Xyman: the cpl thing works great. Thanks. Is it going to work also for people who have Win 9x?

Dork: I wouldn't exactly consider myself amoung the big boys, but thanks for the answer. Skinning the right-click menu would be really cool.
Actually, it would be awsome if eventually it would allow to customize the right click menu as you can with Litestep and NextStart. Then Desktop X could truely become the best shell enhancement ever!

About skinning the popup...is there some sort of third-party popup customization program out there? One that runs under Explorer? (I'm not proficient enough to get DX and Litestep to work together on my desktop.)

Thanks Paxx. Actually, we've been wary of doing too much with the pop up menu because we don't want to more directly compete with NeXTStart and such.

It's a tricky issue, but we are getting a lot of requests to make that pop up menu skinnable and customizeable.

as long as the popup skins well with WB that will be fine. Making it customizable is near a must though.
