Feature request

I would like to requst feature to "ignore" (make invisible) posts made by specified users - just like any other forum, there are quite a few trolls here (and moderators clearly dont do anything about them and their posts) who only try to ruin any reasonable debate.

thanks

most recent version of all major browsers.
Betas are kinda funny like that Rebel44. You might say they're summa time apps.

Summa times they work and ... summa times they don't. Have a nice day.

While I agree that it shouldnt be priority, it also IMO shouldnt be more or less ignored, just because its beta - its public beta and IIRC IE9 beta has 25 million users.

Like I said this is only forum that I know of which has such problems with it.

I can live without IE9 beta compatibility, but I would prefer if it worked.

Hey I got this program and it called knowitall data port and it's beta version 6, it doesn't work with windows 7. Do you guys think Microsoft can re-write windows 7 so my program will work with it or should I wait for the final version to come out after all the bugs have been worked out? o_O

I agree I wish I could /ignore Rebell44 as he is just trolling. lolol

If you want to ignore me so much why dont you just SFTU and GTFO from my thread.

btw. you should read those rules yourself - you dont show any respect to those who have different opinions.....

Have a nice day

Guys....

It's quite easy to remove all temptation for propagating an issue.

Both of you can have your forum access removed.

It is time to accept that sociable co-existence is the ONLY alternative.

Back to topic [a bit] ... IE9 is definitely NOT ready for public consumption so it is pointless to chase its revisions re compatibility.

I use IE9.  I tend to like fooling with bad Betas, but to do things like remove spammers and other twits I keep Chrome open as well.

If 9 ever goes gold you can be sure Stardock's forums/sites will conform appropriately...;)

I have no problem with coexistence - as long as violation of rules are punnished (which they are not - as far as I can see threadcrapping and trolling is simply ignored).

Just look at big forums like Anandtech and Hardforum - repeated trolling outside OffTopic subforums is pretty easy way to get 1-2 weeks temporary ban there.

I believe the Joe User forums may still have the ability to ignore a user. Since these forums cross each other you may want to check them out.

yeah... but unfortunately, those who use it can be just being 'precious'..... so, be sure you really need it... or the option can just be seen as being childish...

I will be working on the forums to get IE9 support sometime in early 2011.  Until then, please be patient and be assured that we will at the very least have all of the major bugs fixed before IE9 is gold.

These forums are privately owned and ran by stardock, freedom vof speech does not apply here. You gave that up when you clicked the "I accept these terms" button than submitted it.
