Slowdown when selecting multiple icons

Since the search button apparently doesn't do anything I'm not sure if this has been reported yet:

Selecting multiple icons on the screen by CTRL left-clicking them results in slowdown and unresponsiveness. The more icons you select the slower it gets. I get noticeable delay in selections when the third icon is selected, and it gets worse after that.

Dragging a selection box around multiple icons doesn't exhibit this problem.

 

I'm not 100% sure it is Fences causing the problem, but it's likely. Can anyone confirm this?

Windows 7 Pro 32bit

2 monitor setup, different sizes

Whatever the current ignored version of free Fences is. 1.01 I think

Hi,

We have reproduced this and can confirm with a lot of desktop icons (which is what Fences is all about!) this can happen.  We are looking into the issue.

Has there been any progress with this? It's also very slow when dragging fences around the desktop.

Not to be annoying, but this is a pretty fundamental issue and it's been about a year.
