Will Desktop X work with a 17" 1440 x 900 display?

I'm thinking of upgrading to a notebook with a 17" 1440 x 900 display. Will DesktopX, Object bar, etc. work with this sort of display? (I'm not advanced enough to create my own stuff, so I rely on downloading the creations of others.) I'm enjoying futzing with Object Desktop...just curious if this new computer would hinder my new hobby...
